Chiropractor Debra Hogan was a front seat passenger, eating pizza, in a 1990 Mercury Topaz driven by Ronald Meehan. Suddenly Mr. Meehan hit the brakes and the car skidded, crashing into another vehicle that had failed to yield at a stop sign. Ms. Hogan’s head went forward then back hitting the headrest and then forward again. There was minimal damage done to the two vehicles.

17 year old Megan Wozniak and some friends rented a power boat and went boating on Sylvan Lake. While on the lake, Ms. Wozniak and her friend decided to go tubing. They laid on their stomachs and held on to the tube which was attached to the boat by a cord and being pulled along. Suddenly, the driver of the boat applied to much throttle and the boat did a “doughnut” – turning 180 degrees and heading straight for the tube holding Ms. Wozniak.

Calgary Woman Sues after being Hit by Bus

Shelley Willeson was walking in a cross-walk when she was suddenly hit by a Calgary city transit bus. She was sent to the ground and her head struck the pavement but she did not lose consciousness. Paramedics arrived and discharged her as being alright. Very soon after the accident Ms. Willeson experienced pain in her neck and shoulders, jaw pain, laceration to her arm where she fell and a variety of different headaches.

Joanna Imbir was stopped at the intersection of Edmonton Trail and 32nd avenue when she was rear-ended by a Nissan Pickup truck operated by Augustine Barron. At the time of the accident Ms. Imbir was 35 years of age, married and the mother of an 8-year old girl. She was self-employed with her husband in a restaurant/catering business.
